This Omeka site is a work-in-progress created and maintained by Benjamin D. Weber as part of his work at the History Design Studio and his research for the dissertation he is currently writing entitled "America's Carceral Empire: Punishment, Work, and Criminality at 'Home and Abroad,' 1865-1945."
